About
Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Some of my happiest childhood memories are of sitting around my Grandparents' dining table, or in my Nanny's Studio, happily working my way through her paints, pencils and paper. Creativity has always been at the heart of who I am, shaping my school years, leading me to achieve an Extended Diploma in Art & Design, and ultimately becoming the career I feel incredibly fortunate to call my own.
My journey as a professional artist began during the lockdown of 2020. While on Furlough from my career in social media management, I started sharing my drawings online with no expectations beyond simply enjoying the process. Before long, friends and family began commissioning portraits, which quickly grew through word of mouth. A viral TikTok video transformed what had started as a hobby into a thriving business, bringing commissions from across the world and a waiting list stretching over seven months. It was a surreal moment; I'd always believed becoming an artist was a dream reserved for history's great masters, never imagining it could become my own reality.
After several years specialising in Pet Portraiture, I took my work to The Game Fair for the first time. Wanting to showcase something beyond commissions, I nervously created a small collection of original Wildlife drawings. I had no idea whether anyone would connect with them. On the very first day, the first original piece I'd ever created found its new home. Sharing that moment with its new owner, both of us overwhelmed with emotion, remains one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. It reminded me that original artwork has the power to tell a story that resonates deeply with someone else.
Having grown up in the beautiful New Forest, my love for Britains countryside has become the driving force behind my original pieces. We overlook the extraordinary wildlife on our own doorstep, yet it is full of quiet beauty, character and heritage. Through my work, I hope to celebrate these remarkable animals and encourage others to pause and appreciate the natural world that surrounds us.
Today, I divide my time between creating bespoke pet portraits and original British Wildlife artwork, each produced entirely by hand using soft pastels and pastel pencils. Whether I'm capturing the unique personality of a much loved companion or the striking presence of a wild animal, my aim is always the same: to create timeless artwork that carries meaning for years to come.
In 2024, I was honoured to receive the SAA Artist of the Year - Peoples Choice Award, and my work has since been featured in Gundog Journal, Gundog & Game Magazine and Paint & Create Magazine. As my journey continues, I look forward to creating new collections, exhibiting my work and sharing my passion for British Wildlife with collectors across the UK and beyond.
